How often you clean slipmat depends on how long you use it for. But generally speaking, slipmat needs regular maintenance.
Dusting: soft brush or lint roller
Vacuum cleaner: low power setting
Shake outdoors to remove dust
And sometimes more thorough cleaning may be required
